Traditional olympiad exams for Class 1 to 12 happen once a year: one high-stakes morning, months of waiting, and if the day goes badly, the next chance is a year away. A monthly online olympiad turns that model around — twelve chances a year, each one a fresh syllabus-based challenge for your child's own class, taken from home with no exam-centre logistics.

The credit is issued to the registered parent and is deliberately not cash: a closed-loop scholarship avoids the wallet and KYC rules that come with paying money to minors, and guarantees every rupee of prize serves the child's education.
Certificates and medals come too — but a family whose olympiad win pays next term's fee remembers it differently.
Common questions
Is there a fee for each olympiad?
No. The olympiad is free for partner schools to add, and every monthly event is open to their students with no per-event fee, unlike traditional olympiads that charge per exam per subject.
How is this different from SOF / IMO / NSO olympiads?
Traditional olympiads run once a year, on paper, with per-exam fees. The VidyaKavach olympiad is monthly, fully online, with no per-event fee, and prizes are scholarship credit paid toward school fees rather than certificates alone. Many families do both — ours doubles as year-round practice for the annual ones.
Which classes can participate?
Class 1 to 12, CBSE and ICSE. Each event states its class range, and eligibility is checked automatically — a Class 5 child competes against Class 5 syllabus questions, not Class 10 ones.
What exactly is the scholarship-credit prize?
A closed-loop credit redeemable against school fees (paid directly to your school) or in the VidyaKavach store for books and supplies. It is deliberately not cash: credit issued to the registered parent avoids the regulatory complications of paying money to minors, and guarantees the prize serves the child's education.
Is there a national leaderboard?
Yes — a Top 10 scorecard across all partner schools, showing first name and last initial only, and only for families who opt in. Children's privacy is protected by default, in line with India's DPDP Act 2023.
