Claim Settlement Process
Step-by-step for both cashless and reimbursement claims.
Why claims for children are different
A child's admission is rarely planned. It is a playground fracture at 4 p.m., a fever that turns serious at midnight — moments when nobody has the patience for paperwork. The cashless process below exists for exactly those moments: the only thing a parent needs at the hospital is the child's e-card (saved on a phone is fine), and the only decision is choosing a network hospital — which is worth making before the emergency, from the network list in the app. Everything else, including the pre-authorisation, is between the hospital and us.
Cashless claims (recommended)
- 1
Show your Digital Welfare Card (or physical card) at any network hospital's insurance desk on admission.
- 2
The hospital sends a pre-authorisation request directly to us — you do not fill any paperwork at this stage.
- 3
We approve or query within 1-4 hours for planned admissions, and within 30-60 minutes for emergencies.
- 4
On discharge, the hospital settles the bill directly with us. You pay only for anything outside the policy (if applicable).
Reimbursement claims
- 1
Pay the hospital bill yourself if you used a non-network hospital, or chose reimbursement.
- 2
Submit the claim in the app: original bills, discharge summary, and prescription records.
- 3
Our claims team reviews the submission — typically within 7-10 working days.
- 4
Approved amount is credited directly to the registered bank account.
